A new chairman is named by the U.S. Brewer’s Association
US trade group the Brewers’ Association (BA) has named its board of directors for 2010, putting Nick Matt, CEO of Matt Brewing Co, at the helm.
Matt will take over as chairman of the association, while Dogfish Head Craft Brewery’s Sam Calagione becomes vice chairman.
“I am delighted,” said Matt, adding that he relishes the prospect of the post and helping independent US brewers gain market share.
“It’s an honour to play a leadership role in helping this organisation continue to make progress in representing the interests of small brewers and the community of brewing enthusiasts.”
